Working with AASW Practice Standards

Implications for social work practice and education

Choice of dates: Wed 25 March or Wed 17 June 2009 9.30am–1pm

This workshop will provide a forum for exploring the meaning and application of Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW) Practice Standards for Social Workers: Achieving Outcomes. Participants will become familiar with the details of the AASW Practice Standards, their basis in the AASW Code of Ethics, their structure and purpose and will be given information about the current range of applications in social work practice and education. The workshop concludes with an interactive process of application in each participant’s own practice.
