Certificate of Primary Literacy Education

Conference – Monday 3 September & either 4, 5 or 6 September, plus
Wednesdays 12, 19, 26 September & 17, 24 October 5–7pm


The Certificate of Primary Literacy Education program has been developed to support NSW primary teachers to further their understanding of literacy pedagogy K–6.

Each workshop will blend theory and practice and will include a summary of relevant research, as well as syllabus implementation advice. Participants will be provided with readings for each workshop and will be required to reflect on their practice throughout the course.

Presenters will include Associate Professor Robyn Ewing and Dr Alyson Simpson

Assessment
To receive the Certificate of Primary Literacy Education, attendance at two days of the Future Directions in Literacy Conference (one of which must be the Teachers' Workshop Day) as well active participation in all five evening workshops is required.

Fee
$800 GST inclusive (plus $360 for marking optional assessment tasks)

Optional Accreditation
Completion of the full Certificate course, plus the successful submission of two assessment tasks can be accredited as one unit towards a Master of Education degree.
