Overview
We have entered the age of digital storytelling, and school students have embraced technology, not only as avid audience consumers, but also as willing participants. Increasingly students are using digital cameras and editing software on entry-level computers to communicate in the new visual literacy and art form of film video.
In this program teachers will

- develop an appreciation of the deconstruction of film as text, understanding the means to assist students in the construction of their own film videos;
- examine the significance of the film industry in Australia in reflecting a sense of Australian identity;
- consider the importance of film video learning in developing a sense of identity in our young people through their capacity to tell stories in digital media.
